For our concierge patients, same-to-next day appointments mean when you call your Be Well MD care team to request an appointment, you will be seen on that same day or the next day. We want you to have access to us when you need it. No more waiting to see a physician.

Concierge healthcare, sometimes referred to as private medicine, provides a higher level of care to its members. Concierge physicians work with a smaller number of patients than traditional physician practices, which enables them to spend more time with each patient to better customize the care to an individual’s health needs and goals.

Be Well MD is an outpatient primary care service. In the event that you are hospitalized, your Be Well MD care team can provide a second opinion or help you understand your care plan. Each hospital will have a hospital generalist who will help coordinate your care while you are an inpatient. Your Be Well MD provider will stay in contact with the hospital team until you return home.

During your first appointment, your Be Well MD physician will take time to understand your health status and goals. The initial appointments for in-home concierge patients typically last two hours and give Be Well MD a comprehensive look at your health. Once you complete the new patient form, we will contact your primary care physician or specialist and request copies of your medical records. This is typically done in advance of your first appointment so that the Be Well MD care team has a chance to review your medical history.

Be Well MD is an outpatient primary care service. If you require services that are typically not covered in an outpatient clinic such as lab work or diagnostics, we will work with you to schedule an appointment with an alternate provider. If these services are not in your current healthcare plan they will be managed and billed by the third party.

Be Well MD can serve one of two roles for you.

• If you do not have a primary care provider, your Be Well MD clinician can serve as your primary care provider.
• If you already have a primary care provider, your Be Well MD clinician can serve a consultative role working with your primary care provider and/or any specialists you see. Keep in mind, all Be Well MD providers are specialized in caring for aging adults.

Be Well MD believes in a comprehensive care approach. You will typically work with the same provider. However, if your provider is not available for an appointment you will be seen by another Be Well MD provider. The Be Well MD care team also includes nutritionists, health coaches and other healthcare professionals trained in senior care.

If you need to be seen by a specialist or need additional services not covered by our team your Be Well MD provider will help coordinate those services.

In-home concierge memberships are billed on an annual basis. Monthly and quarterly payment plans are available upon request. Our clinics located in senior living communities accept Medicare and other types of insurance. Call 512-553-1921 to learn more about our clinic locations and health plan coverage. Both residents of the communities and non-residents are welcome.

Be Well MD offers a membership-based concierge service. Most insurance providers, including Medicare and Medicaid, do not allow reimbursement for membership fees. The benefits you receive with your membership fee include: unlimited access to our medical team 24/7, direct phone line to the doctor, clinical visits at your residence in situations where you do not qualify for home health, same-to-next-day appointments, personalized assistance with appointment scheduling and access to a fitness/wellness coach.

Be Well MD offers annual memberships that renew each year. In the unfortunate case of a member’s death a pro-rated refund will be distributed to the family or guardian. Other requests to cancel membership will be honored.
