We know how important exercise is to a healthy lifestyle. You recognize that physical activity helps move the blood and keeps you on your toes mentally. Taking the next step by combining a regular exercise program with a ‘mind workout’ contributes greatly to overall good health. My fellow Be Well MD clinicians and I discuss the benefits of maintaining and improving cognitive skills with our patients on a regular basis.

Our friends at Aging is Cool created this video. Aging is Cool is an Austin-based organization whose mission is to encourage older adults to get active in whatever motivates them to engage. They organize events that involve lively interaction from their audience members, they create brain exercises like the one here and in general they encourage seniors to get involved. I invite you to learn more about what they do and participate in the activities that interest you.
